The Royal Forest of Dean was designated as England's first National Forest Park in 1938.

 

With its natural beauty and outdoor leisure it is a unique place to explore.

 

 

An estiimated 20 million trees cover 100 square kilometers but within the forest there are open spaces for villages settlements and farmland.
